Special Film Screening: Queen of the Sun: What Are the Bees Trying to Tell Us? ~ Sunday, February 12 @ 4:30pm Join New Eden Collaborative of FPCN, New Harmony Farm CSA, and Transition Newburyport for this profund, alternative look at the global bee crisis. Following the movie is a discussion and Q&A on Organic Bio-Dynamic Bee Keeping, and Local Flavor Potluck dinner. This is a fundraiser to support New Eden Collaborative of FPCN's Organic Bee Progam. Suggested donation is $10.00

FPCN Happenings
Sacred Harp Singing happens every 3rd Sunday of each month at FPCN. Singing is from 3:00pm - 5:30pm.
Sacred Harp is a participatory a cappella singing tradition with roots in 18th Century New England and the Deep South. The music is a potent mixture of unfettered raw-boned harmonies and driving rhythms, coupled to unvarnished Calvinist poetry. Sacred Harp singing was featured in the 2003 film Cold Mountain, as well as the recent PBS documentary, Awake My Soul. Visit the Newbury Sacred Harp site for more information on Sacred Harp singing.
Sunday School School Offerings
All children have a special need to know God’s love, to grow in spirit, and learn how to live by the Golden Rule in a fun, safe, accepting environment. For this reason FPCN is offering two new Sunday School programs for typically developing children and children with special needs. The programs will be held on Sundays at 9:15 AM and at 10:00 AM from September through the middle of May.
Rev. Nancy's Sunday SchoolRev. Nancy will lead a preparatory Sunday School class for children with special needs (9:15AM-10AM) so that they can have individualized attention. When a child is ready to integrate, parents will have the choice to stay or move to the 11:00 class. Parents are free to drop their children off until 10:00:AM and share a quiet and snack time with their children. All children and families are invited to the sanctuary at 11:00 for an integrated children's time. All of our special children's programs will be integrated: Christmas pageant, Easter program, Children's Sunday, fellowship hour, and social events.

All year long, we will offer opportunities to learn and raise awareness about differences, increase sensitivity in ourselves, parents, and children so that we can bring kindness and understanding into our community and world.
