First Parish Church of Newbury is proud to have had The Boston Camerata perform in our church sanctuary for several seasons now. The most recent concert was held this past December and we look forward to continuing to bring our community the experience.
The following are some of the church's favorite musicians and ensembles who have performed regularly at First Parish Church of Newbury.
"Don Sineti , folksinger, songwriter, part-time sea chanteyman at historic Mystic Seaport Museum (with one of the most powerful voices on the Eastern Seaboard!), and long-neck, 5-string banjo picker, is also an award-winning marine mammal illustrator with a number of prestigious exhibitions and books to his credit." - credit Crackerbarrel Entertainments
"We are five, with Kim Goodhue on vocals and autoharp; Geoff Goodhue, vocals, guitar and mandolin; Nick Vandenberg, vocals, string bass, and guitar; Ryan Goodhue on keyboard and hand drums, and Derek Hayden, on drum set. Our repertoire covers American “roots” country, Appalachian, bluegrass, Southern gospel, contemporary folk, traditional Celtic, Irish “pub” songs, and original compositions. We emphasize close two- and three-part harmonies, polished instrumental arrangements, and sincere, energetic delivery." - credit The Goodhues Band
"The Boston Camerata preserves and reawakens human memory as expressed through the art of music. It accomplishes this mission through live, historically informed, professional performances of European and American music of the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque eras; through study and research into musical sources of the past; through sound recordings and media projects; and through community outreach and musical education."- credit The Boston Camerata
